Recycled paper honeycomb from Dufaylite
Dufaylite recycled paper honeycomb has an exceptional strength to weight ratio, making it an outstanding core material for all types of doors and panels.
It is easy to use, cost-effective, versatile and readily adaptable to continuous production processes. The paper honeycomb is manufactured to fine tolerances, which guarantees consistent thickness, it provides a smooth surface with all facing materials, and can be used in hot or cold pressing. It is also easy to store; one pallet holds the equivalent of 1,000 door cores.
The recycled paper honeycomb is made from layers of paper or cardboard, bonded together by parallel and uniformly spaced lines of adhesive. When it is expanded for use it forms a honeycomb configuration with hexagonal cells.
Our recycled paper honeycomb can be supplied in three forms:
- As continuous core, to be expanded and cut to length
- In separate, unexpanded pieces, or cuts
- As ready-expanded, stabilised sheets It is environmentally-friendly, being manufactured from 100 per cent recycled paper. Most of the adhesives we use are water-based and bio-degradable.
